One of the world’s leading chemical companies based in Saudi Arabia

Role of MD for the company: Act as representative of the company in Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Responsible for driving the BU’s business in the country. Coordinates and leads the BU’s sales activities in the country. Responsible for steering the local sales operations and coaching the sales teams. Ensures sustainable (local) leadership of Salesforce within responsibility.

Major Areas of Responsibility

Actively represent the company towards relevant stakeholders (esp. authorities, NGO’s, industry associations, customers) including advocacy Manage License to Operate topics Ensure strategic positioning of the company and representing the company within all governmental relations and JV partners.
  • Establish external contacts with decision makers in relevant industries and customer organizations
  • Identify industry trends and potentials translating them to business opportunities
  • Lead local BU sales teams in alignment with BU functional managers
  • Coordinate overall sales process and interfaces
  • Develop, implement, and monitor local sales strategies
  • Manage and prioritize local customer portfolio
  • Stimulate market intelligence, enable and participate actively in local (X-BU) sales and market development activities (e.g., MDP)
  • Generate and manage the opportunity funnel
  • Provide (bottom-up) input to and implement SBU strategy in the country
  • Conceptually support and execute sales projects and market launches
  • Support, coach, push and back-up local sales teams in “hunting” activities
  • Aligns with Local Sales Managers on market development activities (incl. MDP) and advocates resulting resource requirements towards the central BU Business Management
  • Provide consolidated bottom-up input to BU’s business strategies and participate in the BU business strategy development for Kingdom of Saudi Arabia
  • Align the interest of BU and EU regarding Kingdom of Saudi Arabia
  • Recruit, develop, retain staff in alignment with BU functional managers
  • Live a positive management culture and drive employee engagement as well as all talent management related aspects with the support of local HR
  • Implement Market Area / Region or Global initiative in the company Organization

  • Business related information and documents should be protected against misuse or loss by appropriate Information protection measures

Compliance and Code of Conduct:

  • Actively represent the company group interests and act as a role model with regards to Compliance and Code of conduct, ensure adherence to legal regulations and the company’s internal guidelines as well CORE values and principles
